Here’s a few things you may not know about Tamboril
Tamboril was founded by Julia Brampton in 2003.
The business was originally based around costume jewellery designed and made by Julia. The range soon expanded into jewellery associated product and then to fashion accessories and gift products.
Julia was about to lose her mind with the way things were growing when it was decided that the cheapest person she could possibly employ was her husband Phill Calvert who then joined the business bringing his multiple skills of I.T, warehouse management, sales and most importantly his sense of humour.
Our focus has always been on providing fun and affordable products with a unique twist and that’s how we arrived at our motto;
“Glamorous Glitz for Gorgeous Girls”
As long as we can keep it fun for ourselves, our customers and the end consumers, Tamboril will continue to source and develop products that we feel are unique and in keeping with this feeling.

The company is young, however those involved have many years of combined wholesale experience in the gift and home-wares industry.
We are a small but focused team, so when you call our office, you know that you are speaking with someone who will be able to make personally sure that your request is dealt with in a timely and professional manner. When you meet us on our trade fair stand you are talking to the people you will deal with throughout the year and we pride ourselves on our customer service.
Whilst it is impossible to please all the people, all the time.... we give it a red hot go.
Tamboril also likes to give back wherever possible and support a range of charities including the McGrath Foundation, World Vision, Salvation Army, Royal Children’s Hospital and a small community in Zambia called “Tikondane”.
Tamboril is a Spanish word meaning “Little Drum”. This has special significance to the owners.... you can ask them about it sometime.
